What do Man Utd need to do to qualify for Champions League knockouts after Galatasaray draw

Manchester United played out an enthralling 3-3 draw with Galatasaray, but what do the Red Devils need to do to qualify for the Champions League knockout rounds?

Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring in Turkey inside 12 minutes with a brilliant finish into the roof of the net.

Bruno Fernandes then doubled United's advantage minutes later with a stunning long-range strike, before Hakim Ziyech pulled one back for Galatasaray from a free-kick.

Scott McTominay soon gave United breathing space after he tucked home Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross to make it 3-1.

However, Andre Onana was at fault for yet another Ziyech free-kick, before Kerem Akturkoglu levelled the scores with a brilliant finish 10 minutes later.

But where does the draw leave the Premier League club?

What do Manchester United need to do to qualify?

United must beat Bayern Munich, who have already qualified, in their final group stage game on December 12 to stand any chance of progressing into the knockout rounds.

The Bundesliga side's goalless draw with FC Copenhagen leaves Erik ten Hag's side bottom of Group A on four points, one point behind Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen.

Therefore, United must not only beat Thomas Tuchel's team, but Galatasaray must draw also with the Danish side for the Red Devils to qualify.

Before facing Bayern, United take on Newcastle at St James' Park on Saturday before hosting Chelsea (December 6) and Bournemouth (December 9) at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Here is how Group A looks heading into the final matchday:
