What UFC fighter Johnny Walker told the doctor to get his fight stopped, Dana White is fuming

Dana White has revealed what Johnny Walker said to the doctor to get his fight called off following an illegal knee.

The light-heavyweight clash between Walker and Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 294 was hotting up until the latter performed an illegal move.

Ankalaev struck Walker flush on the chin with a knee whilst he was in a downed position, prompting the referee to intervene.

The referee then brought in the ringside physician, who conversed with the UFC fighter inside the Octagon.

Moments later, the referee waved off the contest under the instructions of the doctor.

Speaking during his post-fight press conference, White revealed the exchange between the medical official and Walker. Check it out below:

According to the UFC CEO, the doctor asked the UFC light-heavyweight contender: "Where are you right now?"

To which the Brazilian replied: "I'm in the desert" - a reference to the Abu Dhabi location.

The doctor seemingly didn't like Walker's answer and subsequently told the referee to call off the 205lbs bout.

White slammed the doctor and put the fight-ending exchange down to a 'big language barrier'.

He said: "The guy’s inexperienced. I think there’s a lot of things that probably happened. I guess he asked him 'where are you right now?' and his response was 'I’m in the desert'. He’s not wrong."

White added: "I think there’s a big language barrier in there between the two of them. Inexperience [from the doctor]. It sucks. It’s one of those things that happen sometimes but we’ll make it right and we’ll fix it."

After the fight was stopped, Walker and Ankalaev went at each other before security intervened. White also made his way into the cage to calm the situation down.

Asked about entering the Octagon, he said: "That didn’t look like it was going in the right direction. That’s all we needed."
