Fighter who shared his payslip from UFC 293 has been cut from the promotion

A UFC fighter who shared his payslip online in a controversial move has been released.
Citing sources from within the company, the reliable MMA Fighting
say that the promotion have released nine fighters.
John Makdessi, Andre Fialho, Hannah Goldy, JP Buys, Carl Deaton, A.J. Fletcher, Kamuela Kirk, Tucker Lutz and Shane Young have all been cut.

Departures in the company are typically a result of cost-cutting measures but Makdessi's exits comes not long after he posted his earnings online.
The lightweight veteran fought 20 times for UFC, his last bout being a close unanimous decision defeat to John Mullarkey at UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia last month.
He was on the prelims and was not happy with his paycheck from the bout, opting to disclose it on social media.
$28,461.65 was the figure he collected, after he was hit with a 45 per cent foreign tax amounting to a ridiculous $26,100.00.
There were other deductions, including 'medical' and 'airfare' costs.
'The Bull' posted the payslip on his X account, with the caption: "I sacrificed my whole life for this sport and put everything on the line. Damn Australian government and the judges robbed me pretty badly."
He deleted the post not long after but Makdessi will not be entering the Octagon anytime soon after his release.
The 38-year-old made his debut in a bout against Pat Audinwood at UFC 124 and went to on to boast a record of 11-9 in a 13-year period.
Makdessi, who had won four out of six fights before his narrow defeat, has yet to react to the news.
It appears as though the releases are a by-product of the wave of new Dana White Contender Series signings.
