Tyson Fury says he has only been left starstruck by one celebrity after chance airport encounter

Tyson Fury has interacted with some of the world's most famous people, including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Joe Rogan, but the WBC heavyweight champion insists he's only been left starstruck once.

In the build-up to his much-anticipated bout with Francis Ngannou on October 28th, the self-proclaimed Gypsy King sat down with TNT Sports to answer a flurry of rapid-fire questions.

To kick things off, Fury was asked to choose three people outside of the boxing world to join his hypothetical dinner party, and he picked the somewhat unconventional trio of Tom Jones, Elvis Presley and Jesus Christ.

Fury was also prodded on the most unique or unusual fan mail he's ever received, as well as his tactic for surviving a zombie apocalypse.

But a question around being starstruck garnered the biggest reaction online.

After being asked whether he'd ever been starstruck, Fury said: "I was starstruck once. I was in an airport in Malaga and Adriana Lima came past me, the Victoria Secret model. I was like, 'Damn, she hot'.

"And I wanted a picture, but I wouldn't do it because I know how it feels and it's horrible. It was a few years ago in 2019."

Away from the light-hearted content and Fury has promised to knock out former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who will make his boxing debut in the 10-round crossover bout.

In fact, he thinks it will be over “inside six rounds”.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Fury said: "I’ll get on the front foot, high arm, catch him with a punishing jab, 19/20 stone in the face. Bust him up, swell his eyes out and bang, KO. On the front foot, not running away.

“No one can take my power, nobody. These heavyweights don’t have a chance.”

Ngannou, meanwhile, accused Fury of lying about his height in their recent face-off.

"They say he is 6ft9in,” he said. "I mean, this doesn't look like [a] five inches difference, right? They say I'm about 6ft4in"… I would say you are 6ft5in."
