Tyson Fury 'rejects multi-million pound deal' for two more series of Netflix documentary

Tyson Fury has rejected a huge offer for two more series of his Netflix documentary, At Home with the Furys, it has been reported.

The first series, which follows Fury and his family, including his wife Paris and their six children, chronicles the period of time between Fury announcing his retirement from boxing last year and his return fight against Dereck Chisora.

The nine-part documentary was released on Netflix earlier this month - it was originally due to be 10 parts - although Fury was not particularly enthusiastic about the project during its early stages.

He told Capital XTRA Breakfast: "I wanted out. I was like, couple of weeks in, I said: 'Is there any way [out]?'

"I'd be on the phone with my lawyers. 'Is there any way I can get out of this? I don't know what I've signed up for again. I never said I'd do it again. I've done it again, I've made a mistake'."

Fury did finish filming for the first series - but there reportedly will not be a second as things stand.

The Daily Mail report that Fury has turned down an offer worth 'millions of pounds' from Netflix to film two more series of 'At Home with the Furys'.

It is claimed that, via a TV insider, the 35-year-old heavyweight champion does not want to be seen as a 'reality star'.

A source told the Mail: "After retiring Tyson saw the Netflix show as a lucrative opportunity in place of the money he would have earned by taking on a fight.

"But the filming process was particularly stressful and coupled with the fact he's now an active boxer again after coming out of retirement, he decided to put a series two on hold for the foreseeable future."

The report adds that Netflix bosses are still keen to work with the family, with his wife Paris namedropped.

And Netflix hope to restart the series at a later date, but it is claimed that Fury is 'not considering' it in the short-term.

Fury will return to boxing in October, where he will take on former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
