Tyron Woodley Pays Fan £3,700 For Best Creative Meme Of Him Being Knocked Out By Jake Paul

Tyron Woodley has awarded one fan a cash prize of $5,000 for creating the best meme depicting the moment he was brutally knocked out by YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

The former UFC champion is not hiding away from defeat. In fact, it seems like he is having fun with it all.

Earlier this week, Woodley challenged fans to make the best possible meme out of him being motionlesss on the canvas, saying he would give out $5,000 [£3,700] to the eventual winner.

He wrote on Instagram: “They thought a lesson would make me quit. That shit made me laugh. I been here before.

"But y’all real funny wit the memes. some of that shit i gotta laugh at myself. People talented at photoshop and editing. Might as well get paid for it. Here you go. 5 Bands to the funniest video/pic.”

Thousands of memes were made as a result of his proposal and after sifting throughout some worthy contenders, Woodley eventually decided on this incredible effort from Twitter user Chris Ashley.

"I had to edit this real quick," he wrote. "He just wanted to go to the slumber party." You can see the winning entry below.

Twitter has been rife with Woodley memes after he was dropped by a huge right hand in the sixth.

Here are just some of those posts.

UFC legend Daniel Cormier, meanwhile, has criticised Woodley for his decision to create a meme contest following his knockout defeat to Paul.

“That was not good, that’s a bad look. And you know what’s worse? The after," he said via MMA Mania.

"I don’t know what T-Wood’s doing on social media. He posts the knockout, he makes a contest about it—It’s like Jake Paul is beating these dudes so bad that they start to make fun of themselves.”
