Sandro Tonali's girlfriend Juliette Pastore was in shock after seeing Newcastle's training ground

Sandro Tonali's girlfriend Juliette Pastore appeared pleasantly surprised when she walked into Newcastle's new-look training ground for the first time.

Pastore, a model and fashion designer, jetted into Tyneside on Wednesday alongside partner Tonali, who finally completed his highly-anticipated £55 million move from AC Milan.

After the formalities were done and dusted, both Tonali and Pastore were invited to the transformed Benton training base; where they were shown around by a member of staff.

Over the last few months, the Benton has undergone an "extensive" renovation, with the addition of hydrotherapy and plunge pools, improved changing rooms and an updated presentation room.

A modern players' lounge and a brand new dining area have also been added to the building – and it was an area that certainly impressed Pastore, who was left open-mouthed by the space.

Check out her reaction below.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to the clip.

One said: "In all the videos I've seen of them she looks way way more happy and excited than him [laughing face emoji]. I really hope he does well," while another wrote: "Her face says it all."

A third commented: "She seems sweet. And on my level gasping about a canteen."

A fourth added: "Based on the footage I've seen, I'm beginning to wonder whether it was Juliette Pastore that instigated the move to Newcastle."

One fan even managed to find a picture of the rather unimpressive dining area at AC Milan's training ground, which looks like a serious downgrade from the facilities at Benton.

Back in April, Newcastle co-owner Amanda Staveley confirmed the club are looking at building a new training ground as they complete improvements to the current facility.

"We can do things that we couldn't do 10 years ago," Staveley said at MIPIM. "We're looking at developing a new training ground at the moment.

"I remember when Eddie came and we had to put investment into our current training ground because it just wasn't fit for purpose. We were trying to put all the cameras around the outside. I was thinking, 'God, this is going to cost a fortune'.

"It was like £800,000 of investment just into the cameras. Then, suddenly, no, drones. We will do it all by drones."

Back in 2021, shortly after the £300 million takeover of Newcastle was completed, Staveley described the club's training facilities as "really awful".
