The reason behind Rio Ferdinand's sudden exit during TNT Sports' broadcast of Paris Saint-Germain vs Newcastle United has emerged.
Ferdinand was present for the pre-match build-up at the Parc des Princes but was absent for the post-match analysis.
Jermaine Jenas and Ally McCoist instead broke down Tuesday evening's 1-1 draw and previewed Wednesday night's action alongside presenter Laura Woods.
After discussing Manchester United's trip to Galatasaray, Woods addressed former Red Devils defender Ferdinand's sudden departure.

She explained: "Rio would be here to chat about Manchester United now, but we had to let him go [due to] unforeseen circumstances. He is okay, don't worry."
The Daily Mail has confirmed Ferdinand was taken ill during the game and returned to his Paris hotel room to rest.
Ferdinand has declared himself fit for United's game and he'll be in Istanbul as Erik ten Hag's side attempt to salvage their European campaign.
United are currently bottom of Group A with three points, having won one game and lost three.
A defeat in Turkey will see United eliminated from the competition. If Copenhagen defeat Bayern Munich, it means they can't come third and qualify for the Europa League.
United are in good form domestically and ran out 3-0 winners over Everton on Sunday afternoon.
Luke Shaw returned to the first-team after recovering from a muscle injury which had kept him out since August and Kobbie Mainoo made his first Premier League start.
Ten Hag will also be boosted by the returns of Rasmus Hojlund and Antony, who trained earlier this week.
United were beaten 3-2 by Galatasaray in the reverse fixture and Ten Hag was asked if there've been any improvements since.
He replied: "I think so, yeah. But probably it will be the same for Galatasaray. I think we improved, so it's good progress.
"You see how we are stepping up, we are more stable, we are winning games, so definitely, there's a big difference from the first moment we played them."
