Paige VanZant Storms Out Of The Ring After Losing Second Bare Knuckle FC Fight

Former UFC star Paige VanZant stormed off from the ring as soon as her loss to Rachael Ostovich was announced on Friday night.

VanZant was released from UFC following her loss to Amanda Ribas at UFC 251 in July 2020, her third loss in four fights, before moving to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

She made her debut for BKFC in February, at Knucklemania, losing by unanimous decision to Britain Hart. On Friday night she had her second fight for the promotion.

She was taking on Ostovich, who she beat in UFC in January 2019, and was once again on the losing side of the judges decision.

When the 48-47, 48-47, and 49-46 scores were read out, VanZant clearly wasn't impressed and as soon as her opponent's hand was raised instead of hers she walked off.

Ostovich, who was also released by UFC last year, following a 4-6 MMA record and having lost her final three fights, was making her BKFC record.

Speaking after the win, the 30-year-old said, "Hell yeah [I felt comfortable]. It's been a long time.

"Two and a half years since the last time we've been in the cage. A completely different sport but I still fought Paige VanZant.

""Give her a freaking hand, a round of applause, show some respect."

VanZant's popularity from her social media meant she came into BKFC last year as a main event draw for the promotion.

However having lost her first two fights, and having been in poor form in UFC, there will be questions about her being in main events.

Following the loss she took to Instagram to post a resilient message, saying, "I will rise. I will always rise. Don't you doubt that even for a second."

She now has two fights left on her deal with the company.
