Over the past few weeks, Messi has been making the headlines as his future became the talk of the town.

Last week, it was confirmed that the Argentine will leave French club Paris Saint Germain when his contract expires at the end of the month.

During an interview with Spanish news outlets SPORT and Mundo Deportivo, Messi announced that he will be joining MLS side Inter Miami, owned by former Manchester United and England star David Beckham.

On his new career move, Messi said: “I will not return to Barcelona, I will join Inter Miami.

“After winning the World Cup and not being able to go to Barca, it was time to go to the United States to live football in a different way and enjoy more day to day. Obviously with the same responsibility and desire to want to win and to always do things well. But more calmly.”
