Fans are confused after noticing bizarre Laura Woods moment on pitchside footage of PSG vs Newcastle

Fans have been left confused after spotting a bizarre moment involving Laura Woods during Paris Saint-Germain's controversial draw with Newcastle.

The Magpies hopes of Champions League qualification took a major hit on Tuesday, as Kylian Mbappe's stoppage time penalty rescued a point for Le Parisiens.

Newcastle supporters were left dumbfounded by the decision to award the spot-kick after Ousmane Dembele's cross struck the chest of Tino Livramento before making contact with the full-back's lower arm.

TNT Sports pundit Jermaine Jenas, who previously played for Newcastle was visibly furious with the decision as he watched from the pitch-side.

TNT Sports subsequently posted a video of his reaction on Twitter, but fans were quick to notice presenter Laura Woods in the background who appeared unfazed by having her hair touched.

Replying to the video, one user wrote: "17 seconds in, why’s the undertaker playing with Laura woods’ hair?"

Another asked: "Is there someone brushing Laura Wood's hair?"

Wile a third chimed in: "Who is that touching Laura's hair?"

Discussing the penalty decision after the match, Jenas gave a damning assessment of officials, stating: “When you look at that decision there, it’s one of the most disgraceful decisions I’ve seen in a long, long time.

“The reason being - you look at the nature of the game, all the energy the players have put into it, and it comes down to a really shocking decision that a referee has made.

“Not in any walk of life is that a penalty. What is Livramento meant to do with his arms? Wrap them round his back? I'm fuming. The players threw everything at it and it should have been one of those historic wins.

“There’s that feeling that you’ve been cheated.”

Jenas added: “I think it's a shocker. The referee had such a good game but he's caved really. For that to happen, in that moment like that, after Newcastle performed the way they did, it doesn't feel right.

“It's a bitter pill to swallow.”
