Kylian Mbappe slammed by PSG boss Luis Enrique Enrique despite scoring hat-trick

Kylian Mbappe scored a brilliant hat-trick for Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday - but manager Luis Enrique is still not happy with the Frenchman.

Mbappe took his tally to 13 goals in 11 appearances this season against Reims, as PSG won 3-0 to return to summit top of Ligue 1.

It appeared to be the perfect night for the 24-year-old, who has been reintegrated to the starting XI after being banished from the first team in July, following a public fall-out with the club's hierarchy.

The World Cup winner turned down a new contract with Le Parisiens and was the subject of a world record £257 million bid from the Saudi Pro League, which the forward also snubbed.

Mbappe has since returned to the fray under new manager Enrique and it is thought he could make a U-turn and sign a new contract with the French club.

However, despite netting a hat-trick to win the game, Mbappe still didn't do enough to impress his manager, who claimed brutally claimed the player still needed to do more.

“I’m not really happy with Kylian today," Enrique told reporters after the game (quotes via The Mirror).

"I have nothing to say about the goals but he can help the team more in different ways. I am going to watch the match again and talk to him about it first, not you.

"Kylian is one of the best players in the world but we need more. We want him to do more things. That is my opinion, maybe I am wrong.”

Asked about his own performance, Mbappe also hinted he didn't play his best, telling Amazon Prime (quotes via ESPN): "In all modesty I don't need to be playing well to score goals, but I want to do both, score goals and play well.

"That is my objective, to always help the team as well as I can."
