Joe Rogan reveals Kamaru Usman's knees are so bad that 'he can't walk on concrete'

Joe Rogan has revealed just how badly-injured Kamaru Usman's knees are.

While appearing on a recent episode of his popular podcast, the UFC commentator claimed that Usman actually can't walk on concrete because of his sore knees, opting for grass instead.

"Kamaru's got some f**ked up knees," Rogan said.

"It's amazing that guy fights as well as he has, the kind of pain that he has.

"He told me that he had to walk on f**king grass because he couldn't walk on concrete because it hurt so bad."

Rogan's guest, Will Harris, also chimed in.

"I was in Denver with him the week before the fight and he'd be walking down the stairs backwards," Harris said.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time where Rogan has highlighted just how bad Usman's knees are.

Back in early 2021, when Usman was still wiping out the welterweight division during his reign of terror, Rogan went into detail about his injuries and how they have forged him into one of the greatest of all-time.

"He's that guy that's just a bulletproof-mindset champion," Rogan said on an episode of the Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson podcast.

"That's what sets him apart from everybody. You know Usman's knees are f**ked. Both his knees are f**ked. He can't run. He said he has to sometimes walk on the grass instead of concrete because it hurts his knees so much."

Usman's stint at the summit of the 170-pound division came to an end in late 2022 when he came up against Leon Edwards.

Despite dominating for most of the fight, Usman lost his belt after getting knocked out cold from a head kick in the fifth and final round.

“We talked. He’s in great spirits,” White told reporters following UFC 278.

“Obviously he wants the rematch bad, but he said, ‘I can’t tell you the weight that’s been lifted off me.’ There’s a lot of pressure that goes along with the run that he was on and tying and breaking Anderson’s record. All that stuff, there’s a lot of pressure. So, he’s looking forward to the rematch.”

And a rematch is what Usman got with the UFC booking it for March in London.
