Jake Paul officially 'accepts' MMA fight with UFC legend

Jake Paul has ACCEPTED an MMA offer against a UFC legend, having announced his return for December 15.

Paul rebounded from his defeat to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia by outpointing Nate Diaz in August.

The 26-year-old is set to return to action on December 15, with no opponent yet to be announced.

He won't be boxing Diaz again, but an MMA contest against the Stockton slugger could be in the works. Check out Paul training in MMA below:

According to Paul's promotional company Most Valuable Promotions, he's accepted an offer to fight Diaz in MMA.

The statement read: "For the record: Jake Paul will not be boxing Nate Diaz again.

"Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have received an offer from PFL MMA to rematch in MMA in the SmartCage. Jake Paul has accepted the offer."

Paul accepting the MMA offer against the former UFC superstar comes after he signed a deal with MMA promotion PFL (Professional Fighters League) earlier this year.

Last month, 'The Problem Child' took aim at the 38-year-old for apparently turning down a $10 million offer to fight him in MMA.

"We're at the drawing board right now. Nate Diaz ducked the $10 million offer, so he's not the badass that everyone said he was," he revealed. "I wanted to fight him in MMA and do something that no boxer has really ever done, which is, in the prime of their career, go over to MMA. MMA fighters have gone over to boxing, but I want to go over to MMA and Nate Diaz ducked the offer."

Paul added: "With those guys, I don't know if they have reason. I don't even know if they think. There wasn't a transparent reason. I think it was just something that he realised there's a lot of risk for him. If I beat him in MMA - which I just dog-walked him in the boxing ring, made it look easy, and if I beat him in MMA, I take his legendary status.

"So I don't know if he was like, maybe the risk of this isn't good enough for the $10 million."

Will Diaz and Paul run it back - but in the cage? Watch this space.
