Harry Kane set to break another Bayern Munich record by Christmas, fans can't get enough

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is on course to break another record at the Bundesliga club as he continues to gain thousands of new fans.

The 30-year-old England international, who joined Bayern from Spurs in the summer for around £86 million, has notched 21 goals and seven assists for Thomas Tuchel's side this season.

Kane is arguably in the form of his life at present. In fact, he has scored in his last six games for the German club ahead of their Bundesliga clash against Koln this evening.

As a result of his form, Kane has broken several Bayern records, both on and off the pitch. Earlier this month, he became the first Munich player to net a hat-trick in their first Klassiker appearance.

And after scoring a trio of goals against Bochum, Darmstadt and Borussia Dortmund, he is the first player to score three hat-tricks in his debut Germany top-flight campaign – and it's only November.

As the festive period approaches, it appears Kane is about to enter the history books... again.

After the club sold around 20,000 shirts with the name 'Kane' on the back during his first weekend in Munich, German publication Kicker claim another 100,000 jerseys will be sold by Christmas.

"The number 9 will be the hottest in history, more coveted than the jersey of any other Bayern player," they wrote.

Kane's arrival was met with an "almost absurd" amount of hype, according to the publication, who suggest Munich went "crazy" on his arrival.

Advertising walls were "plastered" in the city centre and thousands gathered around the training ground to catch a glimpse of England's all-time top goalscorer.

In addition to the shirts already sold, Bayern expects to have sold another 100,000 with 'Kane 9' on the back by the end of the 2023/24 campaign. The club are said to earn around €10 per jersey.

Earlier this month, it emerged that Kane has a clause in his current deal that includes scorer-points.

A report from German publication BILD suggests Kane will receive a payment of €250,000 [£218,000] if he scores more than 40 scorer-points across all competitions in a single season.

Scorer-points are basically another way of saying combined goals and assists, meaning Kane, who is currently on 28 goal involvements for the season, needs just 13 more to bag the clause amount.
