Gary Neville destroys Arsenal fan with perfect response after being called out over Aaron Ramsdale situation

It has been an interesting situation in the goalkeeping department at Arsenal this season as Mikel Arteta rotates his options between the sticks.

Aaron Ramsdale has been with the Gunners since joining from Sheffield United in 2021 and has been the club's number one stopper for much of that time.

However, that has been tested this season with the arrival in the summer of David Raya from Brentford, initially on loan with the north London side having the option to buy the Spaniard.

Raya had played the last eight games in the Premier League for the Gunners as Arteta gave his countryman a sustained run in the starting team, with Ramsdale relegated to the bench as a result.

Of course, Raya was ineligible to face his parent club Brentford yesterday due to the terms of his loan agreement, which meant Ramsdale was restored to the Arsenal side which took on the Bees.

On the pitch in west London, Kai Havertz came off the bench to grab a late winner for the Gunners as Arteta's side now sit on top of the Premier League table, ahead of Manchester City by a point.

In the goalkeeping department, Ramsdale had a shaky opening 45 minutes against the Bees as he was back in action in the top flight for the first time since starting the win over Manchester United in early September.

Taking to Twitter, Neville discussed Ramsdale's form in the first-half and believes the rotation in the goalkeeping department at Arsenal was behind that nervousness.

The former Manchester United right-back wrote: "This is what happens when you have 2 keepers eating each other! You put them both under pressure."

An Arsenal fan responded to Neville's tweet and took issue with the Sky Sports pundit being quiet of late, only to start speaking now the Gunners were playing.

He wrote: "Not heard a peep out of you for 2 weeks and now Arsenal are playing you pipe up…."

But Neville had a brilliant response to explaining his recent lack of posting on the platform, referring to the recent international break and there has been no Premier League football in that time.

Along with a thumbs up emoji, he wrote: "It’s called an international break."
