England Euro 2024 draw simulated as Gareth Southgate given group of death

England’s Euro 2024 group stage draw has been simulated ahead of next summer’s tournament.

Euro 2024 will take place in Germany next year and Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions will head into the tournament as one of the favourites to go all the way.

After finishing top of their qualifying group with 20 points, England will be placed in pot one for the draw.

As a result of being in pot one, Southgate’s men will avoid a clash with the likes of Germany, France, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.

In pot two, Denmark will be joined by Hungary, Albania, Austria, Turkey and Romania.

Scotland, Slovakia, Croatia, Netherlands, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are all in pot three whilst Italy, Serbia and Switzerland will be joined by three playoff winners in pot four.

Ahead of the official draw, a draw simulated has handed England a potential group of death.

According to the rankings, the three above-mentioned nations are the highest-ranked teams in each pot.

The draw is set to be held in December in Hamburg.

During the qualifying phase, England have already played against Italy, who are the reigning champions after they beat the Three Lions in a tense penalty shootout at Wembley three years ago.

This time round, England managed to win 2-1 away at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona before a 3-1 win at Wembley sealed their passage to the finals of Euro 2024.

The three playoff winners’ spots for Euro 2024 will be decided between Greece, Ukraine, Wales, Georgia, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Luxembourg, Iceland, Bosnia, Israel and Kazakhstan.

Euro 2024 will take place across different cities in Germany from June 14 to July 14, with the final taking place in Berlin.
