Elon Musk branded 'little b***h' in now-deleted tweet after NFL star lost his blue Twitter checkmark

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk was branded a “little b***h” after an NFL star lost his Twitter blue checkmark on the social media platform.

Musk completed his £38.1bn takeover of Twitter last October and the 51-year-old billionaire introduced the paid-for Twitter Blue membership under his reign.

For a fee of $8 per month -- or $11 for those who purchase from Apple-owned devices -- Twitter Blue offers different incentives to users on the platform.

Among the features included in Twitter Blue, which can be purchased yearly for $84, are an edit function for tweets as well as a verified blue tick for one’s profile.

Twitter last week announced that ‘legacy’ verified checkmarks, which pre-dated Musk’s takeover, would be removed from Twitter accounts.

A number of high-profile celebrities and sporting stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo, lost their blue checkmarks last week before they were again verified on Twitter.

Other stars like Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James previously voiced his opposition to Twitter Blue by confirming he would not sign up for the service.

According to the New York Post, San Francisco 49ers player Taybor Pepper was not happy after he lost his legacy blue tick as part of Twitter’s purge last week.

The 28-year-old long snapper launched an X-rated callout of Twitter chief Musk and said he would refuse to pay for Twitter Blue on “this s**t platform.”

“That little b***h [Elon Musk] finally did it, he took away my check mark,” reads Pepper’s tweet.

“I’m never gonna pay for this s**t platform btw. #BelugaWhaleLookinAss [sic].”

According to the newspaper, Pepper made his Twitter profile private after he dropped his callout of Musk last Friday, which has since been deleted.

However, the San Francisco 49ers snapper has since made his account public and hit back at those who called him out over his tweet at Musk.

“Damn if [two] more people without their real names or faces in their profile call me a loser whiny libtard [sic] man bun b***h I think I’m gonna start believing it,” he said on Sunday.
