David De Gea has been offered a £250,000-a-week deal that could see him leave the Premier League, according to a fresh report.
The Spanish shot-stopper’s future is hanging in the balance after it emerged United had performed a U-turn on his contract.
According to the Athletic, De Gea had reached an agreement on a new United deal last season on drastically reduced terms.
However, with the paperwork never completed, United changed their minds regarding the Spaniard’s contract length and wage.
De Gea was then reportedly told that the original contract offer was no longer relevant and in its place, new terms were available which would mean another considerable salary reduction.
The 32-year-old has now officially become a free agent and is still undecided about his future.
United and De Gea are expected to resume contract talks after the goalkeeper’s wedding this weekend, however, the Spaniard has also reportedly attracted interest from elsewhere.

De Gea to Saudi Arabia
According to the Sun, De Gea is a target for Al-Nassr, who also have Cristiano Ronaldo on their books.
The publication claims the keeper could end his 12-year stay at Old Trafford, with a potential £250,000-a-week contract on offer to join the Saudi club.
Al-Nassr, who are backed by Saudi government cash, lured five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo to the club after he acrimoniously quit Old Trafford last November.
The Middle Eastern giants are also closing in on a deal for Inter Milan and Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
A spate of high-profile footballers have followed Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia this summer, including reigning Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy.
Al-Nassr finished second in the Saudi Pro League last season - five points behind Kante and Benzema’s new club, Al-Ittihad.
The club were also closing in on a move for Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech, only for the player to fail his medical over a knee problem.
Ziyech has since been offered a contract on a lower salary, which the Morrocan duly rejected.
