Never-before-seen footage of Dana White trying to convince Khabib Nurmagomedov to rematch Conor McGregor has emerged online.
The UFC lightweight title fight between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, which headlined UFC 229 back in October 2018, remains the company's biggest pay-per-view card.
UFC 229 sold a whopping 2.4 million PPV buys as Nurmagomedov submitted McGregor in the championship rounds to defend his crown.
It was the Irishman's first foray back into the MMA promotion since taking on Floyd Mayweather in a money-spinning Las Vegas showdown.
The explosive build-up to Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor made it a must-see, box office event.
Naturally, White wanted to renew their rivalry by matching them up against each other for a second time.
However, he was ultimately unsuccessful as 'The Eagle' only had two more Octagon visits before calling time on his legendary career.
But the now-UFC CEO tried to convince the Dagestan star to rematch McGregor, with a clip of their exchange at a show emerging on social media.

The clip shows the 54-year-old talking up McGregor's UFC 257 clash against Dustin Poirier to Nurmagomedov, claiming it was trending bigger than his own contest against him.
"Imagine what you and Conor would do in another f**king fight. Just saying. I'm just saying," he added.
Nurmagomedov didn't give a response to White as he just smirked and laughed.
After beating McGregor, he defended his belt against Poirier then Justin Gaethje before walking announcing his shock retirement.
As for McGregor, he didn't get his chance at redemption as he closes in on his UFC return.
