Piers Morgan aims Cristiano Ronaldo dig at Erik ten Hag after latest Man Utd defeat

Piers Morgan has aimed a brutal Cristiano Ronaldo dig at Erik ten Hag after Manchester United's latest defeat to FC Copenhagen.

The Red Devils suffered their third Champions League defeat of the season against the Danish champions on Wednesday, as Ten Hag's qualification hopes took a major hit.

Rasmus Hojlund got United off to a flying start, scoring a brace inside 30 minutes. However, Marcus Rashford's controversial red card instigated a total collapse, as the Premier League side went on to lose 4-3.

Morgan has since launched a social media attack on Ten Hag, claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo's departure is the reason for United's dip in form.

Tweeting a screenshot of Ten Hag, alongside the full-time result between United and FC Copenhagen, Morgan paraphrased the Dutchman: 'I don't need Ronaldo'.

Ronaldo left Old Trafford following an explosive interview with Morgan, where the Portuguese superstar admitted he "didn't have respect" for the manager.

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me," said Ronaldo. "If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.

“If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”

The 38-year-old was fined by the club for his comments and subsequently sold to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, where he has been a roaring success.
