Dejan Kulusevski names his top 5 Premier League wingers of all time as Cristiano Ronaldo misses out on top spot

Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski has named his top five Premier League wingers of all time and Cristiano Ronaldo misses out on top spot.

Despite fleeting moments of brilliance in a Spurs shirt, Kulusevski has struggled to find his feet in north London since joining from Juventus in 2022.

However, the Sweden international has enjoyed a bright start to the new season under Ange Postecoglou, scoring three goals in 12 appearances.

The 23-year-old has since revealed his favourite wingers in Premier League history and his answers are at risk of angering Tottenham fans.

In fifth place, Kulusevski named Spurs legend Gareth Bale and told TNT Sports: "I have never seen something like him before. He had an unbelievable shot, he was very fast and good with the ball. He played a lot of positions and scored a lot of goals."

Although supporters may wince at the fact Kulusevski chose former Chelsea wide man Willian above Bale, explaining: "He's an unbelievable player, very underrated - so it's very good to watch him."

In third place was Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who he described as an "unbelievable player."

"Every season he scores 20, 25 goals or 20 assists," Kulusevski said. "Every year, you can see how hard he works, so he's a great player."

In second place was former Juventus teammate and Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

"He's a great friend and a fantastic football player. He's one of the greatest players of all time. I have huge respect for him," Kulusevski said.

Ranked first on the Tottenham man's list is another former Chelsea star, Eden Hazard.

"I have to say Eden Hazard," he said. "He is my favourite player growing up and he made me happy.

"He made everybody happy when they watched him play because it was just joy, just freedom, it was just like a child playing football. Dribbling, scoring, assisting, having fun and that's what football is about."

Kulusevski added: "Of course, I watched him a lot so some movements, some turns with the ball, I try to copy him as much as I can even though I'm much taller which makes it's a little bit more difficult, but some movements I take from him."
