Dillon Danis reveals key role Conor McGregor has played in his camp ahead of Logan Paul fight

Dillon Danis has revealed the key influence Conor McGregor has played in the build up to his fight with Logan Paul.

Having first linked up together back in 2016, it's clear the pair have remained friends throughout their rise in the UFC.

Danis recently shed further light on their relationship, insisting they are in contact regularly.

"I talked to him this morning, actually. On the mental side, he sends me voice notes, videos and certain things that I should do. He's always there for me even if we're not there physically, mentally we talk every single day."

McGregor is said to have to help coach the 30-year-old ahead of his boxing debut in Manchester, but have been unable to get in the gym together during camp.

Danis was invited to train with the former dual-weight UFC champion in France but felt obliged to stay in New York following the birth of his first child earlier this year.

He added: "For the baby thing. it was literally when he was being born and I had the press conference and then he was in France, it was just a lot of travel.

“We trained for almost two months before that in New York boxing every day so we're always training together."

McGregor has himself continued to go back and forth with the Paul brothers following his retirement from combat sports.
