Conor McGregor denies allegations he attacked and threatened to kill a woman on an Ibiza yacht

Conor McGregor has denied allegations that he attacked and threatened to drown a woman while partying on his boat in Ibiza.
Spanish newspaper Ultima Hora reported, via Fox Sports, that an Irish woman alleged that the MMA star had punched her in July and that the matter was being investigated in Ibiza.
The UFC superstar has denied any such incident taking place.
Karen Kessler, a spokesperson for McGregor, told SPORTbible: “Mr. McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat.”
The woman, who remains unidentified, reportedly told Irish police that she ‘feared for her life’, according to the Majorca Daily Bulletin.
She alleges that the incident happened as the UFC fighter was celebrating his birthday on July 16.
She had met McGregor at a club in Ibiza before he later invited her onto his yacht with himself, his girlfriend, and friends as he recognised her as someone from his neighbourhood in Dublin.
The woman alleged to police that he became violent out of nowhere the next morning, kicking her in the stomach, punching her in the face, and threatening to drown her.
She jumped off the boat in order to get to safety and escape further injury.
She reportedly told Irish police: “It was as if he was possessed. I knew I had to leave the boat because I thought he was going to kill me.
“He’s a criminal. I think he would have killed me if I hadn’t left the yacht.”
The alleged victim was saved by a Red Cross boat, per Ultimate Hora.
The woman had initially told authorities that it was another man and not McGregor who had attacked following the incident.
She says, as per Ultima Hora, that she didn’t accuse McGregor at the time because she was in shock.
The woman told police that she was wearing only her bikini, had no phone or money, and just wanted to return to her Ibiza hotel as quickly as possible.
As she hadn’t accused him at the time no case was opened in McGregor’s native Ireland.
However, due to the change in her allegations, the incident is now being investigated in Ibiza.
An Ibiza judge will take statements from the woman and witnesses before making a decision on whether to charge the Irishman with a felony.
McGregor last fought in the UFC in July 2021 in which he suffered a broken leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier.
