Man Utd 'set to receive huge offer for Bruno Fernandes' from Saudi Pro League

Saudi Pro League sides are plotting a 'huge offer' for Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to reports.

Fernandes has established himself as one of Erik ten Hag's most important players and was rewarded with the captain's armband over the summer.

The Portuguese midfielder is so often the man for the clutch moments, scoring a stoppage time winner against Fulham recently in the Premier League.

However, the Red Devils face the prospect of losing the the 29-year-old this summer, with Saudi Pro League sides keen on acquiring the player, claim Spanish outlet Fichajes,

The report states that Middle Eastern clubs are willing to offer an eye-watering €100million (£87m) to land the player's signature at the end of he season.

The news follows reports that representatives from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund are set to hold talks with Fernandes over the possibility of for future negotiations.

The group have already added some of football's most famous names to the league, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar and Riyad Mahrez.

However, Fernandes is thought to have already pledged his allegiance to the Old Trafford outfit, having been the subject of three mega-money offers from Saudi Arabian sides in the past - all of which he turned down.

Fernandes joined United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020 in a deal worth up to £66 million.

He's played over 200 games for the club, racking up 68 goals and 57 assists and notably helped the club win their first piece of silverware in six years when they lifted the Carabao Cup last term.
