BREAKING: Copenhagen come from behind to beat Man United 4-3 in incredible game

Manchester United have dropped to the bottom of their Champions League group after Copenhagen produced an incredible comeback to beat them 4-3 on Wednesday night.

United were flying in the first half and found themselves 2-0 up courtesy of a brace from Rasmus Hojlund against his former side.

But then it all went wrong at the end of the half. Marcus Rashford was controversially sent off for a challenge on Elias Jelert, catching the Dane on his ankle and being shown the second red card of his career following a VAR review.

Copenhagen made the most of the advantage and scored twice through Mohamed Elyounoussi and Diogo Goncalves - the latter dispatching a penalty in the ninth minute of first-half stoppage time after Harry Maguire was penalised for handball.

10-man United were given a spot-kick of their own after the ball struck the outstretched arm of Lukas Lerager in the area from Maguire's knockdown.

Bruno Fernandes restored United's lead with a thumping penalty but just when it looked signed, sealed and delivered, Lerager made amends by popping up with an equaliser at the far post.

Diogo Dalot had been caught sleeping and Lerager capitalised in a huge way.

And the stunning comeback was complete three minutes before time as Copenhagen substitute and top scorer Roony Bardghji, just 17 years of age, scored the winner to secure a famous European win for the Danes.

United have now lost nine of their 17 games in all competitions this season as pressure continues mount on Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils are at now in fourth place on three points in Group A and face a tough task to qualify for the round of 16.

They will be without for Rashford for the trip to Istanbul to play Galatasaray in a must-win game on 29 November before they finish the campaign with a game against group winners Bayern Munich on 12 December.
